living things can breathe. Some animals breathe air out of lungs. Fish
have gills.

can reproduce. Some animals lay eggs. Others
give birth to babies.

can eat. Some animals eat meat and others eat plants.

can drink. All living things can drink water. Some babies drink milk.

can grow. All living things die.
All
animals, plants and trees are living things. There are five main groups
of animals. These are birds, mammals, reptiles, fish and amphibians. To
discover more information about these animal groups we sent emails through
the internet asking questions to groups such as the Sydney Aquarium and
