Award Scheme

At Truscott Street we have a fantastic award system consisting of Blueys, Sports Awards, Super Readers, Merit Certificates, Truscotts, Post Homes and Banners.

Blueys are given to children for good behaviour, improvement in work, helping people etc.

Sports awards are given each week at assembly for the best and fairest player in a PSSA match.

Super Readers are awarded to a child after  they complete their home reading log.

Merit certificates are given to a child for good work, behaviour and all round achievements. These are awarded to children at assembly.

A Bluey is worth one point, a Sports Award is worth two points, a Super Reader is worth two points and a Merit Award is worth ten points. If a student receives twenty five points they get a Truscott. After they have achieved four Truscotts they get a Post Home Certificate which is posted to their home. If they receive four Post Homes they will be awarded a banner at an assembly. Parents are welcome to attend all assemblies.
